April we performed in 2 different parades, a Western Parade and an Easter Parade and a school demonstration.

Several members competed at the Las Vegas Specialty with one dog qualified for an Agility NAJ title, and another went BOS in Sweepstakes as well as qualified for a second CD leg! We also had team members competing in New Mexico, bringing home Best in Sweepstakes, BOS in Sweepstakes, Winners Dog, Best of Winners, Best Puppy twice and  a Reserve WD.

May in New Mexico brought home 2 Best Opposite Sex and a BOB conformation brags.

This spring six of our team dogs certified for their Therapy Dog International titles.....there isn't a more rewarding way to spend an hour than bringing a little Dane love to those who don't have access to their own bundles of love.

The school demonstrations that we do are an introduction to both obedience training and an overview of the various things that are available for folks to do with their dogs. We include agility and advanced obedience portions in our performance as well as discussions about responsible dog ownership. The dogs love all the attention they receive from the children and teachers!!! We provide the teachers with informational pamphlets for the children and after the team demonstration we take the dogs into the classrooms for question and answer sessions. Most of our dogs are real hams and love to show off for the kids.....standing up on their handlers shoulders, bowing and rolling over on their backs for "belly rubs" being sure fire kid pleasers!

The Arizona Great Dane Team sponsors a free weekly training class at a local park every Saturday morning and anyone with a Great Dane is welcome. This was started 2 years ago and we would have between 3-6 Danes come and play...... now we have 12-14 Danes every week! Because this is at a public park we often have a scattering of other breed that come and participate .
