We also had a wonderful time being human agility equipment for "Morgan" the amazing #1 Great Dane Agility dog. It was quite an honor, not to mention tons of fun!!!
November had us all out at various dog show, agility trials and obedience trials. There was an Agility NA title earned, 2 dogs that qualified for 2 NAJ legs, and 1 Novice B Obedience leg.
January we had a school demonstration. February was the Great Dane Club of Arizona's Back to Back Specialties where our team not only performed but many of our members successfully competed in both conformation and obedience. Collectively we brought home obedience legs, a CD title, 2 High in Trials, Winners Dog for a 5 point major, Reserve to a 5 point major, Best in Sweepstakes, Brood Bitch and numerous class placements. Conformation
team accomplishments included class wins, BOB at the
Support Specialty, an Award of Merit and 1 dog in the Top 20 Competition.
We had dogs in obedience and agility with several bringing home
placements.
December had us
parading down Central Avenue in Phoenix's "A Fairy Tale Holiday Light
Parade" decked out in 2500 lights! Eight dogs were decked out as Christmas
packages and the ninth pulled our float down the 3 mile parade route to
the delight of the 1/4 of a million people jam packed crowd. We had our
own variation on the theme....our entry was titled "A Furry Tail
Holiday"........as our float sported 5 lit Great Danes silhouettes, one
of which was the topper for our sparkling Christmas tree!
